المجموعة المرجعية

Urinary calcium levels aid in understanding how the kidneys handle calcium in certain disease states involving calcium balance, including diseases of the parathyroid gland. It is also essential in the medical evaluation of kidney stones. HIGH levels are associated with primary hyperparathyroidism, hypervitaminosis D, sarcoidosis, bone metastases, multiple myeloma, corticosteroids, Paget’s disease, renal tubule acidosis, or increased calcium intake. LOW levels of urinary calcium are associated with hypoparathyroidism, vitamin D deficiency, low calcium diet, renal osteodystrophy, hypothyroidism, or steatorrhea. See Calcium, Serum
