Acetaminophen is a widely used over-the-counter analgesic and antipyretic. It is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) and commonly used for the relief of fever, headaches, and other minor aches and pains. Acetaminophen level is tested for routine health screenings or if a disease or toxicity is suspected, for example: drug overdose. HIGH levels could indicate liver failure.
Usual sampling time is one hour after dose administration. Time to peak serum concentration is between 30 minutes and one hour after oral dose administration. Note: Indicate Trough or Peak.
