1. pick up the collection container from biolab and label with the patient`s full name. 2.discard the first urine specimen of the day as this is not suitable for cytology evaluation. 3.after passing the first urine of the day , drink one glass of water every 15 minutes for 2 hours. 4. At the end of the 2 hours , void and DISCARD all urine. 5. after one hour , collect all urine into the collection container. 6.deliver specimen to biolab as early as possible. if there is any delay in delivering the speicmen . refrigerate the specimen until delivery.
