HLA-B5 (B5) is an HLA-B serotype. B5 is a broad antigen serotype that recognizes the B51 and B52 split antigen serotypes.HLA B5 plays an important role in the aetiology of Behcets disease. The frequency of HLA B5 differs between racial groups and geographical regions. Ocular involvement, which could lead to serious complications, is a very important feature of Behcets disease.
Sample must be processed within 24 Hrs of collection. Do not refrigerate sample.
