A seminal fluid analysis is a test that measures the amount and quality of a mans semen and sperm. Semen is the thick, white, sperm-containing fluid released during ejaculation. This test is performed if a mans fertility is in question. It is helpful in determining the cause of infertility if there is a problem in sperm production or quality of the sperm. The test may also be used after a vasectomy to make sure there are no sperm in the semen.
3-7 days abstinence is required. Avoid samples older than 15 minutes. Keep the sample at body tempreture level.
