Sperm Antibodies, Seminal Fluid

المجموعة المرجعية

Anti-sperm antibodies are cells that fight against normal, healthy sperm, reducing motility and making it more difficult for sperm to pass through cervical mucus. Antisperm antibodies can also force sperm to clump together, making it difficult for the sperm to fertilize an egg. Anything that results in disrupting the natural barrier between sperm and the immune system can put a person at risk of developing this disorder. Testing for the presence of anti-sperm antibodies is used in the diagnosis of unexplained infertility in males and females.
